Week 12 Reading Diary A: Epified: Mahabharata Vidos

(A screen shot of The Blind Bride video.)

This week I decided to watch the Epified TV videos of the Mahabharata.

I don't have much to stay on the story side of things because we have all read the Mahabharata and really know what has happened. I like to speak more about how I felt when watching it in a video format. I liked how everything seemed much more real. Reading a book allows you to imagine everything, but sometimes it is hard to feed the other senses. I like that it is pleasing visually and I can put a voice to the characters.

I wish there was enough time to make a video skit for a story. That would be super fun!

My favorite videos were The Blind Bride and The Magic Potion. I think the focus of my story this week will be the Blind Bride. I think it would be a good, but weird love story to tell.

  1. Hi Christina!
I am in both of the blog groups this week with you! I think I have read all of your stories this semester, and I have enjoyed them much! I decided to post on something interesting that is on your site...and I see that you did the Epified videos too!

I loved them so much! I wanted to get my Sharpie markers out and do print screen shots to many of their neat drawings. I am glad that I chose to do that option at the end of the class, because I too could not really find a good way to tell a story from what I had seen. I think it helped me to clarify what I knew, and reinforced the correct way to pronounce some of the words that can be a challenge for me.
I had not thought of doing a video skit until you mentioned it. I think that would be awesome!
